Matt
Lead Designer
"Embarking on a creative journey from musician to graphic designer, I discovered the art of captivating others through visual storytelling. In my role as the Graphic Designer at 828Collective, I am dedicated to infusing the team with a harmonious blend of creativity, passion, and a competitive spirit. I seek not only to deliver value to my team and clients but also to foster a compassionate understanding of their needs, consistently striving to enhance and better serve those around me both personally and professionally."
Meet Matt, a designer at 828Collective with a journey rooted in creativity and faith. Originally torn between music and art, Matt’s path took a turn when a spiritual calling led him to biology, then vocational ministry. After seven years of ministry work, he developed a passion for graphic design, blending his love for captivating others with creative expression.
During the pandemic, Matt fully embraced graphic design, deepening his skills through online classes and joining a creative team in Austin, Texas. His leap of faith into 828Collective has allowed him to grow continuously in the design world.
Matt’s competitive spirit drives his commitment to self-improvement, learning from his peers, and adapting to the ever-changing design industry. At 828Collective, he values the team’s supportive, value-driven culture, where he feels like a true part of the family.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his Shiba Inu dogs, taking them on weekend hikes in the hill country, and bringing them along on all his adventures.
